The team prides themselves in giving clients the personal touch they need, in creating breathtaking works of art ranging from simple to elaborate. The art of floral design is one of the most important aspects in creating the ambience of a wedding or special event.

Phil – President


As Owner and President of Pedestals Floral Decorators, Phil has a vested interested in every event that takes place. He has always had a passion for floral and for seeing his visions become reality. Now known as a leader in the industry he still is on site daily to oversee all ordering and production. Throughout the years Pedestals has grown not only in its location size but also by employees. When founded in 1993, Phil and his sister Rose would purchase and produce every event in a 1200 square foot location, now in 2013 Phil owns a 10,000 square foot facility in Garden City Park.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, he believes in keeping the work here on Long Island. “This is my home, these are the people who made me who I am today and for that I am grateful.” He was taught how to run a business and how to dream big when he was a child, his father would tell him “Whatever you choose to do in life, do it all the way and never give up”. Today, Phil still works with the same ethic and teaches his team to work the same way; that what they do here at Pedestals is not just a job, but its a passion, its art. And that each person deserves the very best product.


Robert – Managing Partner, Director of Sales


Roberts warmth is what makes his designs so unique. His ability to hear what the client is asking for and to bring it to fruition is what sets him apart from the rest. No matter the size of the event, Robert executes with his heart. He gets to know his clients and is connected to them that their special moment ends up becoming his.


Nicole – Business Development


Nicole joined the Pedestals team in 2012. With her background in Marketing and Event Planning she has helped to renovate the showroom, modernize the branding and build relationships. Nicoles passion for non-for-profit organizations is what sets her apart. From Breast Cancer to Police and Veterans Associations, Nicole has raised awareness and money for many organizations.


Nadia – Special Event Consultant


Nadia has over 20 years of experience in the floral industry. Throughout the process of working with Nadia you will experience her warmth and friendship. Her return clients always greet her like they are family. She takes pride in making sure that her client is happy and that they experience the best quality of service at Pedestals.


Virgil – Special Event Consultant


With a flare for creating visually inspiring events, Virgil Alessi’s reputation is well earned. From modern decor to more traditional arrangements, Virgil brings each client’s vision into existence. Utilizing the premium floral varieties of Pedestals, tailored color schemes, and original design, Virgil builds unique and lasting relationships with each person on his client list to create truly memorable occasions.


Steven – Special Event Consultant


As a F.I.T. graduate, Steven has always had a love of design. From planning intimate parties to grand events; he has fulfilled many peoples dreams by bringing them to life. His desire is to continue to make people happy with visions of fairy tales coming true; from the youngest of children to the eldest of life, he is dedicated to his work and to creating memories that will last a lifetime.


Anthony – Production Manager


Anthony has been with Pedestals since 2005 as a drivers assistant, he has grown to the position of Production Manager. He supervises the production and delivery/set up on all events. His work ethic and dedication to the company shows in his performances and his staffs ability to set up and deliver any size event. He has long lasting relationships with catering halls, restaurants, and hotels.


Joe – Head Production Designer


Joe started his career in decorating and floral sales. As he grew in the industry his real passion evolved into designing and producing floral pieces. He has truly been an asset to Pedestals for the past fourteen years. One of his most cherished memories was designing his daughter Daniella’s wedding. To old vintage flair to modern designer trends, he sets the bar.


Theresa – Administrative Assistant


On any given day at Pedestals you will see Theresa performing a multitude of tasks. From answering the phones and scheduling appointments to assisting venues and contracts, Theresa does it all. Her ability to always smile and extend a helping hand is what makes her irreplaceable.
